A bachelor's program is an AQF Level 7 qualification that involves three to five years of full-time study. Programs are designed to provide the knowledge and skills for work in a specialist area.

Within a bachelor's program, there is often an opportunity to choose areas of specialisation (e.g. majors).

Bachelor's programs are often the first step towards postgraduate study, or they can be taken in conjunction with another bachelor's degree. This combination is called a dual program.
